Sunday night was cold enough for me to see my breath when I had to go outside.

Much of the early part of Monday was pretty low-key since I knew the "Whose Line?" audition/workshop and show came one right after the other.   I made the mistake of waiting until early afternoon for a shower and waited with a dozen other women in an impressively long line.
The audition / workshop was fun as always, although I'm always convinced this will be the time I don't make the cut  8/    I saw somebody get picked for the show and then leave, stating she couldn't do the show.     If I'd been someone who'd been cut, I'd have been really angry.     After the audition I stuck around and rested up.    Had a nectarine for dinner.     When [livejournal.com profile] darklilli  and  [livejournal.com profile] greenman73arrived to watch, I begged for some help recording scenes with my little camera and they gamely agreed.     (I was also deeply grateful to a former mumming student / "Arleccino" who recorded  "Shawms of War" from last year's intermezzo and presented me with a disc.     I haz footage!!)
Our team had to pick a name and when I suggested "Second to None"  (inside joke), the team agreed.    The show was a joy and a dream from beginning to end--I found myself wishing I lived closer to [livejournal.com profile] charles_midair  and to my teammates -- I'd love to do shows outside of Pennsic with these talented people.      Improv shows are a hit-and-miss proposition most of the time, but the performers and audience here all had fun, I think.
"Second to None" won the team competition and for our prize...got to finish the show 8)
After the show there was an "ice cream social" in the food court which functioned as a partial Coxcomber reunion--it was fun to see everybody, and I allowed myself to have cheese sticks and Cobbler for dinner.      I finished off the night with a short visit to the camp's bardic circle and got to hear Frau B and  [livejournal.com profile] osewalrusdo their thing.

Tuesday  I busked under the big maple tree, part of the time by myself and part of the time sharing the spot with Terebus.    As I was finishing up, Wolgemut was ready to start a "Bransle Class"  (?)   which got postponed due to a heavy shower.     During my shift a third person (!) stopped to confirm that I'd be performing at a dinner on Wednesday night.     I don't mind, really -- at Pennsic people scatter to the four winds a lot of the time.      The Provincial Populace Archery Shoot ran kind of late (I taught the grass to fear me) so I missed sharing dinner with  [livejournal.com profile] shalmestere  and [livejournal.com profile] hudebnik, but I was on hand after they left to catch i Sebastiani's camp show.    Four more people showed up and finished the lamb and greens, and I kept the fire going until the bardic circle started.    I made it an early night.
