I Started a New LJ Comm

...called
humor4nurses .
Much as I want to transition into entertainment, for the last twenty-three years, my livelihood has been various forms of nursing. There once was a magazine called Journal of Nursing Jocularity which culled jokes, stories and essays from front line / bedside nurses. It was not for mass consumption, for the same reason that some nurses' families place a moratorium on Workplace Talk At The Dinner Table. Nurses possess the ability to talk about ANYTHING, and oftentimes NEED to trade war stories as a stress-relief measure. I deeply admired an essay by editor / medical librarian Fran London about "Secret Knowledge" and the empowerment to be found when a means to share such knowledge pokes holes in the isolated feelings our Secret Knowledge can create.
If you know of any nurses or nurse-friendly peoples who might enjoy / benefit (this comm is also designed to be Not For Mass Consumption), please feel free to spread the word.
Many thanks,
