seeking two sets of lyrics:

---(woodwindy, siobhan1214) from the Noisemakers' Jam session, who wrote the English lyrics we used for ''In Taverna''? Is a copy available, anywhere, with author credit?

---(Liam) One of my local buds (Ysenda) is a Calontiri ex-pat, who remembered English words written to another Latin drinking song, ''bacche bene venies''. If my friend cannot locate a copy of the song, is there someone among your contacts who'd be good to ask?

seeking those two drinking songs in particular, to add to 'The Little Barley-corn'' for group singing at the event of the same name...

I'm not Liam :-) but I have singable English lyrics (it's a corny Victorian translation, but they rhyme and scan) to "Bacche, Bene Venies." (I believe I also have "In Taberna," but it might not be the same translation you're looking for.)

Come to think of it, I may have given you a copy of the book, too :-> (In any case, I'll check when I get home from work....)

I don't have either, but I'm volunteering to sing at Barleycorn if you need... NONE of the other Belles will be there but I can either do a sing-along type song or slap a group together thats just as bad as the Belles.

Or I could, you know, actually SING something for real.

The song my friend mentioned was in English, and it sounded like she knew someone who'd written English lyrics. I'm looking elsewhere first cause my friend is having a chinese-curse-interesting week.
