Sent lyrics to friend who wants to learn Leslie Fish's "Valhalla" ("But I have to do it SLOWER-- she sings it too fast" 8).
Pondering possible CD tracks (assuming I can record an "all SCA-friendly" disc someday):
"One More Song To The Tune of Greensleeves"
"Under the Oak Tree / So el Encina"
"Douce Dame Jolie" (needs English lyrics)
"Hawk Lady"
"Je Vous le Loup" (needs English)
"The Green and the White" (?)
"Now O Now"
"The Shawms of War" (with "SHAWM BREAK" if at all possible)
"Henry V Minutes"
and if I can secure the necessary "guest artists", "Euphrosina's Lament" (I did enjoy the back-and-forth of that excerpt and I'd love for a few more people to hear it 8)
Last but not least, the following...piece. "Based on a true event"
WHAT'S THAT SMELL?
by Mongo Chinua, Freidrich Grimm, Tessa the Amnesiac and Judith Fitzhenry
(to the tune of "The Drunken Sailor")
What's that smell in the back of the waggon?
What's that smell in the back of the waggon?
What's that smell in the back of the waggon?
Early in the morning
CHORUS (after each verse) Weigh-hey, the fumes are rising
Weigh-hey, the fumes are rising
Weigh-hey, the fumes are rising
Early in the morning
We were fine til you got in here...
I say he who smelt it dealt it...
When did you start wearing armor?...
Not my stuff, this time I washed it...
If it doesn't clear out you can walk home...
If it doesn't clear out, I'LL BE GLAD TO!...
At the feast what were they serving?
Stop the cart, I'll check my baggage...
(NO CHORUS)

I made onion soup at Pennsic
I made onion soup at Pennsic
I made onion soup at Pennsic
Early in the morning
