Nov. 6th, 2009 09:47 am1) Overheard on a size-acceptance community: "I'm not some walking time bomb of fatty doom..." This made me sporfle--it sums up the prejudice so nicely. I got an image of plus-size zombies, timers and dynamite strapped to their chests, with their arms up going, "CAAAAAAAAAAKES......CAAAAAAAKES......."
2) EK Bardic Champs has been added to the event schedule (2/20 in Lions End). Now I can stop worrying about how I'm going to get to the event and start worrying about who can't make it because of the scheduling conflicts 8P (IIRC, this gives TRM three, count 'em, three Championships in a row, with Fencing and A&S...)
3) I haz a Stop & Shop, and a Pathmark, and a Foodbasics. I'm shifting my grocery shopping habits to take advantage of my midweek freedom (I LOVE my fellow man...INDIVIDUALLY). The bad news is that I still have to commute by bus (to Sheepshead Bay). The three stores being relatively near one another should make bargain-hunting easier.
4) Laundry has mostly happened. Pilgrimage to agency office commencing in fifteen minutes.
5) Looking forward to teaching Filking With History class, with the new and improved technology, then spending happy hours before and at St. Andrews with darklilli and greenman73. And maybe with Das Whamphurbutt 8)
