The Subject of Religious Freedom Again
Feb. 4th, 2008 09:06 pmAfter reading for weeks about Huckabee and Fred Phelps and equal fanaticism on the other side by people whose names I don't even know, some sane oratory is a real breath of fresh air.
This excerpt from a speech by JFK was posted today on

Further down, one of the commenters posted this excerpt from a speech by Barak Obama. (The whole thing is at http://www.barackobama.com/2006/06/28/call_to_renewal_keynote_address.php ) I don't know a lot about Obama's record or his electability. But whether he rises or falls after tomorrow, I think the issues and challenges he raises here are worth keeping in the public discourse:
