Pennsic Goals
Aug. 11th, 2006 06:42 amEach year, Coxcomb students are offered the opportunity to create an achievable goal for their week, and classes may be suggested to tailor the curriculum for those goals. I have thr33:
1) Teach mumming. I'll be offering practice opportunities each day Mon.-Thu. around midday, and encouraging people to "mum up" for the Fools Parade, Moonlight Madness and elsewhere. This will also give me a chance to make sure as many masks as possible can comfortably fit as many people as possible (not always a given when a mask isn't custom-made 8)
2) Tune-up. I've let things slide in my street-performing (pursuit-of-payment) life and in my readiness to perform more. No longer. Can't afford it.
3) Put together a plan of attack, to be implemented upon my return, for using my newly-free hours to rehearse, research, scout, "pound the pavement" and do shows, with the goal of eventually making up my new income shortfall by performing and performance-related activity.
Should be enough to keep me busy....
